On the heels of a flurry of fist-flying rumors regarding last week's annual Spring Concert, I sat down with Spring Concert Committee co-chair Josh Durando to get the low down on who got the tail-end of the seemingly endless supply of Trey Songz's punches.
I heard a rumor that Trey Songz beat up the rumors that he beat up a St. Joe's student at the Spring Concert. Is that true?
(JD) Actually, that is false. It was Trey Songz's ego that beat up the rumors. That happened outside, behind the Fieldhouse.
Oh, ok. I also heard he decapitated a unicorn.
(JD) There were also rumors of that, but I didn't see anything. Someone said that they found the unicorn's pure white head in the men's shower in the locker room, but I'm not really sure what happened to it.
I heard he ate his DJ as well.
(JD) I was told by the administration not to comment on that rumor, so I have to leave that one alone.
There was some confusion earlier that night as to which band was playing, Cobra Starship or the crew of the USS Enterprise. Following Songz's fist explosions, this confusion led to an increase in rumors that Trey Songz assaulted a Klingon. Comments?
(JD) You know, I can't comment anymore on Trey Songz beating things up. However, I do understand the confusion between the two bands.
Can you estimate how many babies were made onstage last Thursday?
(JD) The final total ticket count for the entire concert was 1,713, but we only had 1,700 ticket stubs, so you can take that for what you will.
That leaves 13 babies. Did you see any of the babies?
(JD) Only one. But by the time I saw him he was fully-grown. And he was in Cobra Starship.
As Concert Co-Chair, how many punches did you take from Songz?
(JD) Probably 15.
How many could you have taken?
(JD) An infinite amount.
How many did you give out?
(JD) I couldn't keep count.
I feel like next year's Spring Concert is going to be really boring. Instead, should we just have a boxing match?
